2002: During the second year of the MBA, our team developed a business plan that was submitted at the end for a contest where all the business plans made by students of Darden School of Business competed. O Parque project won third place, having been among the five projects chosen to have a place in the Darden Incubator.
2003: Marta Villarinho Pereira with financial support and consultancy by the Darden Incubator, opens the first sponsored school in Portugal: O Parque Taguspark, exclusively for the children of Millennium bcp’s employees, offering nursery, 1 and 2 Year Olds classes.
2004: Opening of a new sponsored school in Lisbon: O Parque Assembleia da República, offering: nursery, 1 and 2 Year Olds classes.
2006: Opening of the first non-sponsored school: O Parque Belém, open to the public and offering Daycare (1-2) and Kindergarten (3-5).
2008: This year marks an important milestone for the school: Primary School is inaugurated in a new unit, O Parque Restelo. Also this year we closed O Parque Assembleia da República.
2010: A new school in a new market: O Parque comes to Cascais, offering Daycare (1-2) and Kindergarten (3-5).
2011: Opening of Primary School at O Parque Cascais.
2012: The schools continue to grow and we open Preparatory School at O Parque Restelo, giving even more importance to the English Language.
2015: O Parque Cascais opens its Preparatory School. O Parque’s structure is strengthened by having a new partner, a Private Equity Fund managed by Menlo Capital. This allows the necessary financial resources to expand to Secondary School and create the first international school in Lisbon.
